Pricing
Transparent from the first conversation.
We publish indicative pricing because clarity about cost is part of good legal service. Every matter receives a formal fee proposal before any commitment is made. There are no hidden charges.
Initial consultation
A fixed-fee initial consultation covers a review of the matter, advice on the applicable law and process, and a clear recommendation on whether and how to proceed. The cost is confirmed before the appointment — no surprises.
If you proceed to instruct us, the consultation fee is credited against the matter fee.
Fixed fee
R 950
per consultation
Repossession defence
Depends on the stage of the NCA process at which we are instructed and whether court attendance is required. Early intervention is always less costly.
Labour & CCMA
Arbitration preparation and attendance are quoted separately once the conciliation outcome is known. The referral fee is fixed regardless of the amount in dispute.
Property matters
Property transfers are quoted on a sliding scale based on the purchase price. Evictions and landlord-tenant disputes are fixed-fee per stage.
Deceased estates
The executor's fee is set by regulation at 3.5% of the gross estate value plus VAT. Disbursements — Master's fees, SARS, Deeds Office — are additional and passed on at cost.
General legal advice
Letters of demand, contract reviews, and standard legal opinions are fixed-fee. Ongoing dispute management and negotiation are quoted by estimated time at R 950 per hour.
How we handle fees
Fee proposal before commitment
No work proceeds beyond the initial consultation without a written fee proposal that you have agreed to. You will know the cost before we start.
Disbursements itemised separately
Court fees, Deeds Office fees, Master's fees, SARS payments, and similar third-party costs are passed on at cost and itemised on every invoice.
Trust account compliance
All funds held on your behalf are kept in a separate trust account. Client money and business money are never co-mingled, in strict compliance with the Legal Practice Act.
Monthly retainer
For small business owners, sole traders, and individuals with ongoing legal needs, a monthly retainer gives you direct access to legal advice and document review without needing to open a new matter each time.
From R 2,500 per month
Fixed monthly access for advice, contract reviews, and document review. Credit against any matter fee that arises during the month.
Who it suits
Business owners who sign contracts regularly, individuals managing debt or property, anyone who wants a legal professional available without paying per-call.
